The core is used with amorphous alloyribbons, which posses a no-load loss as low as 20% that of a s9 type transformer(with silicone steel core).The LV coils are used the copper foil, which reinforces the ability to withstand short for the transformer. The tank and coverare welded together, forminga hermetically sealed construction which lengthens the service life of AMDT and makes it repair-free.
