Molecular formula: [Al2(SO4)3·18H2O]

Properties:White crystalline, easily soluble in water, not soluble in alcohol, being acidity for its aqueous solution, 86.5°C for its dehydration temperature, depriving of crystal water when heating up to 250°C, began decomposition when heating up to 300°C and decompose to be r-AL2O3.SO2 for anhydrous aluminium sulfate. Anhydrous aluminium sulfate is white nacreous crystal.

Application:Mainly used as flocculant for drinking water treatment and industrial waste disposal, also used as hardness auxiliaries, colorant and anti-foaming agent in paper making industry.
