Frequent Questions and Answers

What is the difference between seven color pixel lamp (without IC) and full color pixel lamp (with IC)?

a. Control mode: the RGB pixel lamp without IC is group controlled, it is group color changing; The RGB pixel lamp with IC is point controlled with SD card controller, each lamp can receive signal from controller separately, each lamp can show different color at the same time.

b. Effects: The RGB pixel lamp with IC can realize many different effects depends on the program we designed in the SD card, such as color changing gradually, skipping, scanning, flashing, running water, display text, graph, animation and video etc. But the RGB pixel lamp without IC, it just has fixed programme in the controller, since it is not with IC in the lamp, it just can show color changing effect by group. Such as color changing gradually, skipping, flashing, static-state mixing color.

c. Connection way: the RGB pixel lamp without IC can connect the wires freely, but the RGB pixel lamp with IC must be strictly in accordance with the connection diagram.( as shown in Figure 4) 

Troubles Shooting

1,

Symptom: The whole signage has nonuniform brightness, some part is not so bright than others.

Solution: connect power supply wire to this part.

2, for Full Color Pixel Lamp

Symptom: one or several lamp doesn’t work, but have no influence on the color changing of the whole signage.

Solution: cut off the bad lamp and connect with new lamp

3, for Full Color Pixel Lamp

Symptom: Start from one lamp on, the following part do not have color changing, that is the problem with IC in that lamp.

Solution: cut off that lamp and connect with new lamp

4, for Full Color Pixel Lamp

Symptom: No color changing in the signage, just show different color in a clutter, the whole signage is out of control. That may be the problem with SD card or controller.

Solution: try new SD card or change new controller.
