Product Overview

CrystalVision software is a comprehensive suite for image capture, video recording, dimension measurement and report generation. In more detail, it provides you the following capability: 

1.  Measure, process, analyze and annotate an image with just a few clicks;

2.  Compare object’s image with its CAD file or golden template to check manufacturing or fabrication errors;

3.  Generate reports that include the image overlaid with measurement results, summary tables of each measurement type, product information as well as the measurement condition;

4.  Capture an image from live video stream and perform inline measurement;

5.  Record video and save images over a user-defined period time to monitor the growth and migration of live samples such as cells, bacteria.

Features

The format of image to be measured is unrestricted. It can be BMP, JPG, PNG, TIFF and etc.;The type of image is unrestricted. It can be color, monochromic, X-ray, Arial, infrared, UV or any other types;Images can be measured using pixels, angstroms, nanometers, microns, millimeters, centimeters, meters, kilometers, mils, inches, feet, yards, and miles;Built in calibration interface facilitates calibration factor input and measurement unit selection;All measurement tools are stored as overlays. You can freely move and rotate a measurement tool or change its size by just dragging one of the markers associated with it;Line width, color, font size of a measurement tool can be changed by right clicking the mouse and selecting the corresponding menu item;A measurement tool can be deleted anytime by right clicking the mouse and selecting the corresponding menu item;Measurement scale (i.e. scale bar) can be placed anywhere on the image. Measurement scale length (i.e. scale bar length) can be changed by right clicking the mouse and selecting the corresponding menu item;Grid can be added by just select the “Grid On” menu, its interval value, line width and color can be changed easily by inputting a user-desired value;The units of horizontal and vertical rulers automatically changes when the unit is selected in the calibration interface and its interval value can be changed by right clicking the mouse and selecting the corresponding menu item;Annotation text can be added to the image;The input image can be processed by the following methods: zoom-in, zoom-out, rotate, mirror, flip, resizing, crop, brightness adjustment, contrast adjustment, and etc.;Color image can be split into the red, green and blue channels;Color image can be converted into grayscale and negative images.

Dimension Measurements Tools

Distance between two points;Distance between two parallel lines;Diameter and area of a circle;Area and length of major- and minor-axis of an ellipse;Area, length and width of a rectangle;Angle;Arc length and radius;Length of a freehand curve;Area and perimeter of triangle, diamond, pentagon, hexagon and dodecagon;Area and perimeter of a closed curve.

Report Generation

A report is generated by simply clicking the “Generate Report” menu;A report includes: original image overlaid with measurement results and/or CAD image,summary tables of each measurement type,product information,operator information, andmeasurement condition.A report can be saved in PDF or Excel file.

Comparison with CAD File or Golden Template

The CAD file of an object can be imported by simply clicking the “Open CAD File” menu and selecting the file;The imported CAD image can be freely moved, rotated by dragging one of the markers associated with it;The software also provides fine alignment capability for the CAD object images;User can use the measurement tools listed above to measure the difference between the real-world object image and the CAD image.

Inline Measurement

The software allows the operator to capture an image from live video stream and then perform inline measurement using the tools listed above. This makes it a valuable tool in product environment.

Video Recording

User can create video clips from a camera connected to it;Both AVI and WMV formats are supported;Maximum frame rate is 15 fps;There is no limitation on minimum frame rate. It depends the allowed maximum exposure time of the connected camera;User has the option to save all the images during video recording for future use;This capability facilitates the monitor and observation of the growth and migration of live samples such as cells, bacteria, making it a valuable tool in bio-medical and life science research.
