When entering the Australian market, in addition to safety mark, all electronics and electrical products should also be EMC certified with the C-Tick Mark in order to protect radio spectrum resources.

C-Tick, which is enforced starting Jan 1st, 1999 and regulated by the Australia Community Association (ACA), governs the EMC of Australia and currently only focuses on radio interference. From Nov 2001, The EMI applications of Australia and New Zealand are combined into one. A product registered to Australia’s ACA or New Zealand’s Ministry of Economic Development is eligible to sell in both countries.
