Self-regulating heat tracing cable is consist of conductive micro-molecules material and two parallel metals.Conductive micro-molecules material possess “PTC” characteristic and connect with parallel.They can auto regulate outer power or limit heating temperature according to the changing temperature of the heated tracing systerm.
PTC is short for Positive Temperature Coefficient.That is means the resistance of conductive material would be rising with the temperature up,and there is a snap increase in a scope of temperature.
