Aqueous solution was prepared with flake polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and this solution was

added in cement mortar for investigation PVA efect of cement mortar properties. The performances

of formative complex—mortar were tested and correlation mechanisms were studied by the way of normal test methods and modem measure technologies(for example,SEM,XRD,ete.).The results indicate that favorable inorganic—organic thin films(CO—matrix)were formed in cement mortar under polymer/cement ratio(P/C)range of(0.05% ~.10%)and they notably improved microstructure,enhanced density and increased mechanical strength quite obviously in hardening cement mortar.

According to generalization selective preference optimum mix amount of PVA(24-99) is that P/C equals 0.05% in cement mortar
