SKF SAF Plummer Block Bearing Housings Pillow Block Bearing Housings with Spherical Roller Bearings
SAF pillow blocks are the SKF standard housings for inch shafts. Because of their versatility it is seldom necessary to resort to tailored housings for specific applications. They are typically supplied as kits together with a bearing and an adapter sleeve, but all parts are also available separately.
The housings are horizontally split and have two or four bolt holes in the base, depending on the housing size.
SAF housings are available in two designs. Housing sizes from 507 to 528 and 211 to 228 use a new casting design similar to SKF housings in the SNL series. Other sizes are manufactured in the previous casting design. SAF housings from SKF combine a lot of advantages:
