1. The square bearing units inlude one insert bearing(also called Y-bearing, which is a single row deep groove ball bearing with convex sphered outside) + a square flanged housing(which has a correspondingly sphered but concave bore).

2. The flanged bearing units are available in various different designs and materials as standard. There are main three types of materials for the housing: composite material, grey cast iron, sheet steel. And the common material for this type bearing units is the cast iron.

3. There are three types for the flanged bearing units which are secured on the shaft via the bearing inner ring by: (1). grub screws locking; (2). eccentric locking collar with grub screw; (3). adapter sleeve.

4. There are also main three types of seals for the units: standard seals, standard seals with plain flinger and the standard seals with rubberised flinger for arduous operatiing conditions.
