Jesion Hood Insulation Film is a polyether-based polyurethane heat insulation foam, covered with a layer of reinforced aluminum foil and coated with a layer of sensitive adhesive inside. This product is most suitable for using in automotive engine compartment. It is usually affixed to the side under the hood. Before affixing it, it must be punched into set shape. The smooth adhesive side can make the film strictly stick with underside of hood without any bubble inside. The film and adhesive’s working temperature ranges from -40°C to+107°C.Acoustic characteristics: Acoustic foam’s effectiveness largely depends on the ability of converting sound waves into heat. Inside Jesion Hood Insulation Film, there are open and closed sound-absorbing cavity which can absorband deplete the voice. If all cavity is open, the sound will pass through them. On the contrary, if all cavity is closed, the material can only absorb very little sound waves. The cavity is mold-shaped. So the material’s sound-absorption level is uniform anywhere. This ensures that the material can achieve the best sound-absorbing effect.Insulation property: Jesion Hood Insulation Film is coated with a layer of reinforced aluminum foil, which can reflect 97% caloric. This can reduce the heat spreading to the hood. So it extends the service life of hood surface paint.Application: Jesion Hood Insulation Film is most suitable for using in automotive engine compartment.Installation: When install Jesion Hood Insulation Film, it should be cut into required shape at first. Then remove the cover paper. When cutting, you can use scissors, knife or Stamping die. Dust, grease, water or others on the installation surface must be cleaned. The most simple installation way is to slightly bend the film and then paste it along the shortest side of film on the work surface.
