Introduction

Calcium Carbonate powder is pure calcium carbonate, CaCO3.  This material is a naturally occurring mineral and contains a small quantity of quartz, crystalline silica. Prolonged and repeated exposure to concentration of crystalline silica exceeding the maximum exposure limit may lead to chronic lung disease such as silicosis.

Appearance: White /off -white powder 

Odour: Odourless.

Bulk Density, kg/ m3: 900 - 1000

Solubility: Insoluble in water; soluble in hydrochloric acid (HCl).
