Zheng has improved a lot from it was invented until now. In 1960 it was fixed in a S-sharped, 21-strings form by Zhengao Xu, the Senior technician of our company. In this way the resonant of Zheng has been enlarged, the sound became louder, the timbre turned to be finer. The gamut is from D to d3. Because of this reason, Zhengao Xu,  is considered as "the father of Zheng". Dunhuang Zheng is also identified as Cultural heritage of national non-material for the high quality.Dunhuang Zheng is the most popular Zheng in Chinese market which has a large number of funs,  from the amateur to professional performer, from 5 years old child to 70 years old people.
