Horizontal Narrow Strip Blast Cleaning Systems

Structural features and Sub-Assemblies
1.Blast cleaning cabin made of hard manganese steel:
Four blast wheels for each module, two for the upper side and two for the underside of the strip. Rubberized rollers located at the entry and exit sides of the blast cleaning cabin serve to support the strip.
2.Abrasive removal device
After each blast cleaning cabinet, a compressed air blower serves to remove abrasive residues from the upper side of the strip and to return it to the abrasive circulation system for re-use.
3.Abrasive return and recondition system with pneumatic separator:
This serves to clean the circulating abrasive. Effective measures prevent leakage and keep the subsequent picking both compartments free from abrasive. Fresh abrasive is delivered as needed to maintain an optimal operating mix and to assure a consistently high blasting cleaning efficiency.
4.Dust extraction system
Operating Principle
This system is designed for longitudinal blast cleaning from 4 blast cleaning wheels at a maximum throwing speed of 78m/sec. The blast wheels are inclined to the strip plane at an angle to prevent from blasting interferences. The optimal abrasive throwing angle fully converts the installed power into descaling force, with the descaling efficiency per time unit remaining consistent, regardless of the strip width. All blast cleaning wheels can quickly and automatically be adjusted to suit a new strip program, thus assuring the best possible utilization of the blasting stream.
