acid odor, soluble in water glycerol, sightly 

soluble in ethano, not soluble in ether. Its melting 

point is 253°C.

Uses

Mainly applied to the manufacture of formic acid 

and oxalic acid, as well as to the manufacture of 

dimethyl formamide.
