Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat
Fiberglass Chopped Strand mat is made of randomly oriented chopped glass strands around 50mm in length and bonded together with polyester binder in powder form or emulsion form. The binder uniquely bonds the mat so that it conforms rapidly to highly contoured molds. It is a well bonded mat which maintains its integrity during the impregnation process and provides a uniform wet-out rate.

Product Applications
1) Chopped Strand mat is a reinforcement for use with unsaturated polyester resins in hand lay-up, compression molding, machine molding process, etc. Ideal for applications such as auto parts, boats, chemical tanks and swimming pools.
2) Typical applications are those which require a high glass content and good mechanical properties. It has excellent handling and tailoring properties as well as the ability to conform rapidly.
