Fraxinus mandshurica  is a light color, close to white. Heartwood is tan to light brown, with brown and light yellow grain pattern. This type of wood usually has a straight, slightly rough yet even grain. The color and supply of the light sapwood depends on manufacturing location.

          Relative to its weight, Fraxinus mandshurica is very strong and resistant to shock and steam bending is very strong and resistant to shock and steam bending.
