Something should be cleared about IBACS
(1) IBACS is a script designer, but not sms printer designer. They buy SMS PRINTER from China (we know the company’s name), has no patent at all which they have claimed on Alibaba.
(2) The shell of the Printer is from another Chinese company by the name of COSDA, www.cosda.cn, which is specialized in mould and plastic shell making. The shell is public and any company can buy from it.
(3) Most of Chinese suppliers now adopt this public shell to design their products. So the outward appearance of these products look same, but the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is different, GSM module is different (some use SIMCOM, some use MTK or others brands), Firmware is different, menu is different and thermal printer inside is different.
(4) SMS Printer is the combination of GSM fixed wireless phone and thermal printer, is also similar to wireless POS machine(GSM module plus thermal printer). Now nearly all GSM FWP and GSM wireless POS machine in the world are designed and manufactured by Chinese company, so it is easy for Chinese company to design it, why do we duplicate their products as IBACS described in Alibaba? Actually there is no company in UK which produce GSM terminal products such as GSM FWP, GSM wireless POS, SMS Printer, air voucher charger etc.. Can you find another one in UK? All is in China.
(5) Please remember any company can apply patents only for their unique technology, but not for their products because a product usually consists of components, parts, modules and shells and firmware, some of which may from other companies. For example, SMS Printer mainly consists of shell, antenna, battery, AC adaptor, PCB and components, GSM module, thermal printer and firmware, among them, only PCB and firmware is designed by designer (some company also pay to design their own shell), other parts are from other companies. So, According to IBACS, If the product is patented, then they must have invaded other company’s property rights because these parts inside such as GSM module, shell, antenna, thermal printer is designed and manufactured by other companies. Furthermore, if it is patented, please ask them what technology they invent. Is there any license for the patent? Is this technology indispensable in the design of SMS Printer? Even IBACS design the product and patent a technology which is used in SMS Printer, does that mean Chinese companies can’t design SMS Printer with their own technology? How do they know Chinese companies copy their technology? What is the evidence? What is the same between Chinese SMS Printer and so called IBACS SMS Printer? Is this just because the same shell which is actually designed and manufactured by a Chinese company COSDA? Ridiculous! Furthermore again, if a product can be patented, this means mobiles can be patented, computers can be patented, thus there will be no second supplier in any industries in the world. Is it possible? Actually SMS Printer is easy to design, no need patent at all in the design, and in fact no special technology inside which can be patented.
(6) IBACS says they produce the product in Hong Kong as they have claimed in Alibaba. Actually the manufacturing of electronic products is not allowed in HK, because it is a pollution industry. All these factories are in Guangdong China, mainly in Shenzhen. Furthermore, if in HK, the manufacturing cost is much higher than in china inland.No overseas company will do like this.
Conclusion: IBACS buy SMS Printer from China, then say all Chinese products are replica of their products. What unbelievable it is! But I understand, because if they don’t say like that, how do they sell for such a high price. But, but, many clients will pay too much sadly for their lies.
