Manufactured in compliance with JIS-F rules, the 1974 and 1983 SOLAS conditions and the ISO recommended dimensions. Excerpt of Pilot Ladder Rules (SOLAS) 1. Length The length of any type A pilot ladder shall not exceed 9 meters. 2. Side Ropes Ropes should be manila and should not be covered. Ropes shall be of a diameter which is no less than 60 mm in circumference. 3. Steps The steps should be of a length no less than 480 mm, width no less than 115 mm, and thickness no less than 25 mm.
