Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Brief: Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a mucopolysaccharide composed of repeat disaccharide units of N-acetylglucosamine and glucuronic acid. The commercial HA is commonly a sodium salt, called sodium hyaluronate. HA is widely found in the extracellular matrix of animal tissues and vitreous humor. Its main biological role is water retention and lubrication.HA is a natural biotic component, widely existing in skin and any other tissue. It has outstanding moisture keeping ability, thus called Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) in the world.
