Etching is a key process in the production of printing-wire plate. The density of copper-ion in etching liquid will continuously increase as the etching time goes on, and etching liquid will lose reactivity when density is
up to 150 g/L. It can be recycled because there is a lot of copper in waste etching liquid, and there are two processes:
The first, extracting recycle by putting additive; Second, direct recycling.
The first extracting recycle will be introduced briefly as follows:
Waste etching liquid --- Extract copper --- H2SO4 Anti-extract --- electrolytic recycling copper
The process condition of electrolyzing copper sulfate: Cu2+ Density 150g/L,10% H2SO4 ,40C,
Density of anode current 200—500A /m2. The coated-titanium electrode is plate-shape, size of 1000*700mm, and both sides coated, which has currently applied in many PCB factory.
The service life is exceeding 2 years, and the longest one can be up to 5 years.
