REFRACTORY CERAMIC FIBER INSULATION PRODUCTS

Ceramic fiber is a lightweight insulating product. It has low thermal mass which means that it does not retain heat, low thermal conductivity and is an extremely effective insulation material.

DITA ceramic fiber product family is a group of lightweight, thermally efficient ceramic fiber insulating materials that combine the advantages of dimensional stability at high temperatures with complete resistance to thermal shock. Featuring a broad range of thermal capabilities and physical characteristics, this product family provides proven and effective solutions to a variety of heat processing applications.

DITA Ceramic fiber is available in many forms and densities including:

Ceramic Fiber Blanket

Ceramic Fiber Board

Ceramic Fiber Modules

Ceramic Fiber Paper

Textiles rope and braid

With a temperature range of 1260 C for standard and 1360 C for Hot Face and 1430 C for Zirconium blanket most applications can be easily accommodated.

Product Family Characteristics

(1) DITA Ceramic Fiber Blanket is produced from high strength ceramic fibers and is double needled to provide exceptional handing strength. We can provide 5 grades of ceramic fiber blanket, including

1260C Standard,

1260C High pure,

1360C High Aluminum,

1360C Zir-alu,

1430C Zirconium.

(2) DITA Ceramic Fiber Board is produced through wet forming process of ceramic fiber and binders. Ceramic fiber board is featured with high temperature stability, low thermal conductivity, even density, and excellent resistance against thermal shock and chemical attack. Ceramic fiber board also resists oxidation and reduction. If they are wet by water, steam, or oil, physical and thermal properties are fully restored upon drying. Ceramic Fiber board is used for a variety of high temperature applications, including refractory linings, backup insulation, baffles and muffles, heat shields, combustion chambers, flue insulation, and fire protection. These ceramic fiber boards are available in a variety of temperature ratings, densities, thicknesses, widths and lengths, and custom vacuum formed shapes.

(3) DITA Ceramic Fiber Paper is a lightweight refractory material processed from a blend of alumina-silica fibers into a flexible, uniform sheet. The distribution of the fibers with the organic bond and the thickness of the ceramic fiber paper can be very strictly controlled. The bond will be completely burnt out in use.

DITA ceramic fiber paper features light weight, structure uniformity and low thermal conductivity, which serve as a perfect solution for high temperature insulation, chemical corrosion resistance, and thermal shock resistance. Refractory ceramic fiber paper is very flexible and easy to cut with a smooth surface. Ceramic fiber paper can be used in various types of refractory and sealing applications

(4) DITA ceramic Fiber Modules utilize a spun ceramic fiber blanket featuring high tensile strength for superior resistance to mechanical abuse and vibration. A proprietary fiber treatment decreases fiber dusting and irritation while increasing block flexibility, making the module easy to compress into place. Ceramic Fiber Module linings prevent heat loss, increasing the furnace productivity and reducing maintenance costs

(5) DITA Ceramic Fiber Textile family includes ceramic fiber yarn, ropes, braids, cloth, tapes, and sleeves. DITA ceramic fiber textiles are made from alumina-silica ceramic fiber, free of asbestos. These ceramic fiber textile materials can be used in different industrial applications under temperatures up to 2600 °F (1430 °C) and have excellent chemical stability and strong resistance to thermal shock and corrosion attack. Exceptions are hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids and concentrated alkalis’.

DITA ceramic fiber textiles also resist oxidation and reduction. No water of hydration is present.

Thermal properties are completely restored after drying if wet by water. DITA textiles contain 15% organic carriers, which helps to establish physical formation of products.
