This calculator is installed with 2 different  algorithm to calculate the severity of depression. 

Algorithm 1: Brief Assessment Scale for Depression.  The score range from 0 to 24.  The higher the socre, the greater the degree of depression, with 24 indicating severe depression.

Algorithm 2:  Hamilton Depression Rating Scale.  The higher the score, themore severe the depression.   10-13  mild.  14-17  mild to moderate,  > 17 modrate to severe.
