General descriptions:

    S7 is a general-purpose and shock-resisting tool steel. It is an air-hargening(or oil hardening) steel having exceptional toughness coupled with resistance to softening at moderately high temperatures. This combination of properties makes it useful for    general blanking and forming-die applications as well as impack and shock-resisting tools. It finds use in hot-working tools operating in the lower hot-working temperature ranges.
