1 Description

Brown Aluminium Oxide is fused in an electrical arc furnace at high temperature (approximately 2000 degrees Celsius) from a mixture of bauxite ,coal, iron scrap. Its appearance is brown colour.

It is characterized by great toughness, high mechanical resistance and high hardness (9 in Mohs scale). The micro hardness of the material reaches about 1900kG/mm2.

Specific gravity (density) equals 3.90+/-0.05cm3. Bulk density depending on size equals 1.52-1.87g/cm3. It has relatively high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion.

It is the perfect material specifically manufactured to be used for general abrasive applications in bonded and coated abrasive tools, lapping and polishing industry. It is also used as a raw material in the manufacture of high alumina refractory.

2 Application

 The abrasive grains of this products has very sharp shape, after good dust collecting, impurity and strongly magnetism material removing, carefully sieve classifying, the grains is suitable for making resin Bonded Abrasive like cutting wheel, flex wheel and so on. Meanwhile this type of grains can do very well on various polishing application, such as glass carving, rust removing, jean cloth grindin.
