Basically there are two kinds of materials for such knives according to OEM's requirement.1. Inlayed Standard Alloy Steel - with following advantages- After hot rolling with high compressing ratio, the crystallinity of cutting edge steel will be finer, and more capability to avoid cutting edge break.- There is no transit area between cutting edge and body of knife.- Tolerance could meet OEM's requirements for cutting machines.2. High Speed Steel - with following advantages- Especially suitable to the cutting of paper with high basis weight.- High ratio of performance and price, the running life is over 3 times of that of standard alloy steel after once grinding.- Reduce much downtime of machine.- Higher cutting quality, very smooth cutting surface.- Very straight cutting edge.
