Variations

Net Type

Net type pneumatic fenders are fitted with a chain-type net. This is a lattice of used tires connected by a network of horizontal and vertical chains, which adds further protection to the fender body.

The chains are galvanized for greater corrosion resistance and covered by rubber sleeves to prevent abrasive damage to the outer rubber.

Net type fenders are the most common in use.

Sling Type

Sling type fenders are effectively a Net Type fender without the chain and tire net.

A lifting eye is fitted to each end and the fender is slung by chain or wire rope. Sling Type fenders are available across the whole size range. there are two colors, white and black.

Double Cover

Double cover consists of a single cover with an extra tire cord layer and outer rubber. It is  resistance to operational damage such as abrasion, smuts and gauges.

Rib type

It is a new design which offers advantages such as lower weight compared to chain and tire net fenders. Also the protection of the body is better than what is found in ordinary body only configuration. The Ribbed Pneumatic Fender will be a superb alternative when weight, price and flexibility in use are your main objectives.

Foam filled fender

Foam fenders are appropriate for virtually any type of vessel. A closed cell foam core makes these fenders unsinkable and allows for long maintenance intervals. The core is encased in a heavily reinforced elastomer skin that withstands sunlight, seawater and abrasion. Additional reinforcement for large foam fenders are provided by a standard chain and tire net.
