Gabion(also called heavy hexagonal, pinch spend net, Gabion network, three rear section Machine Network) is the cage which woven by a kind of angular Network (Hexagonal Wire Netting), and the diameter of wire used is based on the size of hexagon. If the coating of the wire is metal, the wire diameter generally is between 2.0 mm and 4.0 mm; and if it woven by PVC-coated metal wire, the general wire (metal) diameter is between 3.0mm and 4.5mm. Wire used on the edge is 1st larger than the hexagonal wire.

Gabion shall comply with the following specifications

Manufacture: Gabiono shall be manufactured from double twist hexagonal woven wire mesh in accordance with BS EN 10223-3:1998.
