Applications

Model TH-2002 UV fluorescence method SO2 analyzer, which is one of the high technology

products of ambient air automatic monitoring, adopts the fluorescence spectroscopy principle,

applies the modern technology of micro-SCM to detect and control signals, processes signal

data and etc. It uses optics, mechanism, electron, photochemistry and modern sensor technology 

synthetically which can continuous monitor the concentration of  the SO2 in ambient.

 Operation Principle: Zinc lamp can emit ultraviolet light, which is filtered and becomes monochromatic light (wavelength is 214nm) which then focus on the SO2 reaction chamber. Sample SO2 which absorbs ultraviolet light can make energy level transition, so SO2 becomes ground state into excitation state. The SO2 in excitation state is not stable and emits fluorescence with 330nm centre wavelength. The degree of the fluorescence light is directly related to SO2 concentration. The optical signal is changed into electric signal by PMT, through which SO2 concentration is measured. To avoid error made by fluctuation of light path, where there is two paths monitoring, the one is fluorescence intensity which is excited by light path measuring of sample gas, the other is reference light path to monitor the change of Zinc lamp light source and make auto-compensation to the change of light source.
