Filling the Steamer with Water

1. Place the steamer on a flat, level surface.

2. Fill the water reservoir with a measuring cup.

3. Never fill the water past MAX.

4. Place back the water reservoir cap.

Warnings: 

1. Never fill the water reservoir when the power cord is plugged in.

2. Allow the appliance to cool for at least 5 minutes after it has been used.

3. Never add cold water to hot water.  Steam may shoot out of the filling hole and cause injuries.  Always let the appliance cool before adding water.

Steaming Fabric and Linens

Note: The water reservoir must be filled and supplied cap attached securely before proceeding with the following steps.

1. Plug the steamer power cord into an electrical outlet.  

The heat indicator light will illuminate when turned on.

2. The steamer will emit steam after approximately 1 minute.

3. Direct the steam nozzle towards the material.  Using a slight back and forth motion will further enhance the steaming process.

Caution: Never point the steam nozzle towards your body, other people, pets or plants.

Steaming Garments

1. Place the garment on a clean hanger.

2. Begin steaming slowly from the bottom to the top of the garment.  The steam will rise along the inside and outside of the fabric, removing the wrinkles.

3. Periodically point the steamer away from the garment and smooth the fabric with your free hand.

4. Repeat the above steps as necessary until the garment is free of wrinkles.

Steaming Tips

1. Steaming both side of the fabric will help to remove stubborn wrinkles.

2. Delicate fabrics need to be steamed carefully to avoid damage caused by water spotting. 

3. Drapery and curtains can be steamed while still hanging.

4. Caution should be taken while using a ladder or step ladder.  Do not use a stool chair or revolving chair.

5. To steam towels, handkerchiefs and napkins, hang them over a rod or towel holder.

Handling and Storing

1. Use distilled water to avoid mineral build-up.

2. Remove all accessories from the steamer.

3. Empty and remaining water into a sink to minimize mineral build-up.

4. Reattach the water reservoir cap.  Do not over tighten.

5. It is recommended to store the steamer and any supplied accessories together in the original packaging.

6. Store the steamer in a cool, dry place.  When using your appliance, basic safety precautions should always be taken.  Read all instructions before use.  Save this user manual for further reference.

Safety Instructions:

9. Do not direct steam towards people or animals.

10. Do not steam garments while they are being worn.

11. Nozzle and attachment become hot during use.  To avoid injuries and burns, DO NOT touch the steam nozzle or water reservoir while the appliance is in use.

12. DO NOT change attachments while the appliance is plugged in or emitting steam.

13. Always disconnect the appliance from any electrical outlet when adding/changing attachments, filling with water, emptying the water or when not in use.

14. The use of accessory attachments other than those supplied with the appliance is not recommended and may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.

15. If an extension cord is being used, the marked electrical rating should be at least as high as the electrical rating of the appliance.  Cords rated for less amperage may overheat.  Care should be taken when using the extension cord so that cannot be pulled or tripped over.

Troubles Shooting

Problem	Possible Cause	Solution
No Light on the switch	The steamer is not plugged in.	Plug the steamer power cord into an electrical outlet.
	The household circuit breaker has been tripped; there is a blown fuse in the electrical circuit.	Reset the household circuit breaker or replace the blown fuse.  Contact an electrician or your area's electrical provider.
The steamer heats up but there is no steam.	The water reservoir is empty.	Refill the water reservoir.
	There is mineral build-up in the steamer.	Remove the mineral build-up.
The steamer flow light? is flashing	There is mineral build-up in the steamer.	It is normal for the flow of the steam to stop for a few seconds.  If it stays off for longer periods, check for mineral build-up.
