Polycrystalline drawing die is composed of diamond powder and produced by adwanced high temperature and ultra-high pressure condition in the presence of metal catalyst ( cobalt ). Under the strict control condition of the process, the diamond-to-diamond combination key forms between diamond microcrystalline particles. So it has high hardness and high thermal conductivity similar to natural diamond. At the same time, because of the irregular arrangement of diamond powder,the polycrystalline diamond is isotropic, so orientation is out of consideration during processing and it has better toughness and wear resistance.
